Feeling isolated can have different affects on different people, one person can be perfectly fine while the other feels anxious or more annoyed and angry. The theme for this project would be emotional isolation. By doing pop art, I will be expressing different emotions of individuals during isolation.

Within pop art itself, I tend to like the use of bright colors that pop out of the screen/book ,with a strong sense of emotion being portrayed through expression in the characters face or actions being shown. I also enjoy the cartoon look and old fashion-vibes from the older art works,The large text was also of interest since I also love to read, the look I find was quit amusing with the bold, large letters. That is when I gained interest in pop art. By learning about pop art from my father, as well as in my college courses in the Arts and Cultures program, The artist who struck me, however, was Roy Lichtenstein and his pop art styles which clearly present societal norms, emotions and struggles as well as pleasures all done through comedy. I've decided to use this modern art style for my project. The issue in which I plan to address through my artwork will be conveyed through mixed media. The size I will be using would be 20 by 30 inch Bristol board. I will be using paint, markers and pencils to sketch am outline of my images. It will be mixed with my own drawings done in bold marker in which I will imitate the dot art on my characters for its visual representation. I will be presenting the theme of quarantine through a comedic sense. I will be showing four different emotions on four different people and how quarantine affects people in different ways, whether it be negative or positive. For example, there are people who are homebodies(enjoy staying home), while there are people who hate staying indoors. There are also people who love to be around others while there are those who enjoy being anti-social,etc. I chose to do a mixed media since it will help my piece to stand out with different colors and materials, it will allow my work to pop out more than just one solid drawing. This will allow the audience to focus on the image more by the use of satisfying imagery through mixed media done in a way where you can focus on each character, and the short comedic texts such as thought bubbles. This will show one's thoughts in which  is relevant to our humor today. I will be trying to emulate the pop art style within the moment, aswell as portraying the emotions of one in isolation.
